Upgraded power window relay 1970-1979
This new design modern relay replaces the OEM power window relay from 1970-1979. It draws fewer amps while providing better power to the system. Should help eliminate burning up the power window switch which is a problem for our cars.
This relay mounts in the same stock location above the steering column and pulls ground from the mount tab. Then match wire for wire.
These new modern relays are designed to reduce the amperage draw when the power windows are used. If you see your lights dim when you roll your window up/down these relays will solve that issue. These relays will send the same amount of power to the window switch as the OEM set up, but will help reduce the burned up switch problem.
Will these relays make your window go up/down faster? Probably not. Slow windows are generally caused by built up dirty grease in the channels and rollers.
Will these relays take the place of the "4 relay kit". No it wont, but the four relay kit is typically a bandaid to fix other underlying problems.
