Jeff’s Ride

This is my dad's 1976 Firebird plain jane sleeper. Its been in our family since 1982. According to the papers in the glove box.  It was recently handed down to me. He always had a Pontiac when we were kids. 63 and 74 Grand prix's. Then the 76. He did look at a black Trans am before buying this one. I was hoping for the black Trans am, but he didn't care for the flash of them. The 76 came from the factory with a straight 6 engine. Once that engine gave up he put a 400 from a 73 Grand prix with a turbo 400 trans from a Cadillac. He brag it would get 20mpg at 70 mph. He drove it was his daily driver even in the winter, but it was always kept in the garage. Dad was the reason I like Pontiac's especially Trans am's. I have 2 of my own a 95 that I LS swapped and a 78 I'm restoring. I plan on keeping it the way it is other then freshen up the interior and maybe some newer rally wheels. Oh and enjoying it while remembering dad and mom.
